Our Oregon DOT approved Distracted Driving Avoidance Course (DDAC) is 100% online on any device and also available in-person at our Clackamas and North Portland locations. This is a court-recommended training course where an Oregon judge may recommend that a driver complete the course if it is the first citation for using a mobile electronic device while operating a vehicle, and it did not contribute to a collision. The Oregon's Distracted Driving Law (ORS 811.507), forbids holding or using electronic device while operating a motor vehicle (even while stopped at a stop sign or traffic signal) - Effective date October 1, 2017.

Oregon DOT Approved Training

This presentation has been approved by ODOT to meet the requirements of Oregon Law (ORS 811.507) for a qualified distracted driving course. Proof of completion of this course may be used to offset fines associated for first time offenders of Oregon’s Distracted Driving Law. **Check with your court to ensure this option applies**

The material presented will provide overwhelming evidence of the dangers involved with distracted driving along with the types of distracted driving, and preventing distracted driving. This training will take about 2 hours to complete including the knowledge proficiency exam. Proof of completion requires an exam score with a minimum passing grade of 80% (Of the 15 multiple choice questions asked, you will be allowed up to 3 incorrect answers for a passing grade).

- Classroom (watch video): Don't have internet access? This training is in person to watch training video at either of our two Portland area locations

- Online video option requires the following:

• - At the time of your registration phone call, access to your personal email is required to verify identity and correct name spelling while on the call.  Your email address will also be used as your user name login as well as the address where the Certificate of Completion will be sent.
• - Completion of the online course requires internet access with sufficient speed to play videos, audio, and the ability to key in answers to the online quiz.
• - The score of your submitted exam will be returned immediately via your email address
• - Certificates of Completion for exams with passing grades will be emailed separately and within 24 hours of completing the exam, Monday through Friday.
• - For exam scores that fall below 80%, you may contact us to re-register for this course and  exam, one time, at no additional cost.  Further course registrations may require additional fees. 

- In person video class by appointment only and generally offered Monday through Friday, 8am to 2pm (2 hr training plus quiz).

• - Proof of identity required at the time of training.
• - Exam can be in written or online format
• - Certificates of Completion are issued immediately upon successfully passing the exam
• - For exam scores below 80%, you may retake the exam one time at no additional cost.  Further examinations may require additional fees.
