20 Years in Business – History of Glostone Trucking Solutions

For 20 years, Glostone has led the way in offering regulatory compliance services to Oregon and Washington based motor carriers. It is a proud legacy that has made Glostone Trucking Solutions the largest and most trusted truck regulatory service providers in the Northwest. With 15 regulatory compliance experts using the latest technology and systems to provide services and the service motor carriers deserve, Glostone Trucking Solutions is an industry leader today and into the future.
Prior to Glostone Trucking Solutions, there was Glostone Enterprises founded by Gloria Lyons and Dave Stone. Glostone Enterprises was founded in 1996 after Gloria’s similar job working for the Jubitz Truck Travel Center was eliminated and the regulatory portion of the business sold to a company in California.
Gloria grew the company from its home garage location to a small office in north Portland with 4 employees. The business focus was primarily fuel tax reporting and licensing of trucks. In 2001, health concerns drove Gloria and Dave to sell the business.
That November, Dave and Shirley Gray purchased Glostone Enterprises under the new entity of D & S Trucking Solutions, Inc., dba Glostone Trucking Solutions. The company continued to operate out of its small, North Portland office.
The new ownership focused efforts on maintaining superior customer service with the current service offerings while introducing technology and systems to streamline the operations. After a short 2 years, growth forced its now 8 member staff to move to a larger location just across the street. Continued growth required one more move in 2006 to its current location in South East Portland.
In the years since, customer demand has driven the addition of other regulatory services such as Safety Compliance, Log Auditing, Training, Driver File Management, Bookkeeping, Payroll Services and more.
